Biography
I have drawn all my life, starting as a young boy under the tutelage of my grandmother, an accomplished oil painter. She schooled me in the techniques of using colors to draw light and shadow, teaching me that nothing the eye sees is just one color. My favorite medium has always been pencils and color markers.
I launched my art studio in 1999 after spending 10 years on various race car pit crews, with my sketch book always by my side. I dedicated myself to drawing intricate race scenes, including auto and motorcycle racing, and other sports related moments, in order to give back to the race community.
More recently, I have begun a new line of abstract art as a way to further express what I see in my mind's eye. My inspiration comes from the desire to create artwork that pulls you in. The first glance is simply of a visually pleasing sight, but as you come closer and pay more attention, the colors come to life, the joy unfolds, the balance becomes apparent, and you keep coming back for more, only to find further details that you had never noticed before.
